Welcome to our baby dedication page.
Before telling you about baby dedications, we want to let you know how excited we are about the life of your child(ren). The Bible tells us that children are a wonderful gift from God. Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him” (NLT). Please feel free to contact us if there is anything that we can do to be of assistance to your family in the raising of your child.
With that said, we're excited to talk to you about baby dedication and we would be even more excited to move from talking about it to actuially acheduling it. Before we schedule a baby dedication, we want to make sure our parents understand what it is, so we ask that you start by reading our article that explains very briefly what it is all about. Briefly, a Baby Dedication is a scheduled time during our Sunday morning worship service where you and your child stand before the congregation and together you present your child (or children) to the Lord in dedication before our fellowship. In doing this, you commit to raise your child in the ways of the Lord and the congregation commits to helping you to this end. We will ask you to introduce yourselves and your child to the church (for those who maybe don’t know you yet) and then we will lead the church in a prayer of dedication for your child.
The ceremony of a baby dedication is a way for parents to express their full appreciation to God through the dedication of their baby back to Him. Dedication of a child acknowledges God's sovereignty not only over the child, but also over Mom and Dad. Parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents also come praying that their child might one day trust Jesus Christ as Savior for the forgiveness of sin.
Please read the article on baby dedications and when you are finished please fill out the baby dedication form and return it to the church office. Once we receive that form we will contact you to schedule the baby dedication and set the date.
We encourage you to dedicate your child in this way; it is a very special moment you’re your child will one-day look back on and thank you for. More importantly, we believe it is pleasing to the Lord. Children truly are a gift from God and we as a church-family want to join in the privilege of presenting your little one to Him.
We pray that God richly blesses you as you serve Him in your ministry of parenthood, constantly dedicating your child(ren) to Him and His will. We look forward to seeing you stand together with your child(ren) in front of the body of believers, in a time of dedication and prayer. It truly is a wonderful way to give glory to God and feel the love of your church family.
