Testimonies

The word “testimony” is used in legal contexts when a person is brought into a courtroom and placed under oath to tell, attest to, or give witness to his or her personal knowledge or experience with reference to the case that is being heard.

In the Christian context, a testimony is when a Christian relates how he or she came to know the God of the Bible through the irresistible moving of the Holy Spirit in their heart.  A testimony is sharing how one became a Christian by God’s miraculous intervention and work in our lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ and through the details of specific events, relationships and knowledge.

A Christian testimony should not end with the conversion experience, rather, it emphasizes both the before and after of what Jesus Christ has done in bringing a person to Himself and changing them from the inside out.  We love hearing testimonies, so we thought it would be cool to provide you with some from the people of our community here at Del Rey Church.
